What's the deal with two beaks?

Perjo had her first beak and nail trimming about two months ago at 8 mos, but her beak seems to be growing another layer already?

Is it common for a young CAG to grow another layer to its beak and to do so quickly after a trim?

Should I be concerned?

Today at some point her multi-layered beak changed, it looks like part of the top layer was chipped off. I'm assuming from her rubbing it on stuff like perches and the bars in her cage.

It's hard to get a read online of what is normal with how their beaks grow and take wear and tear.
