when you have a bird that plucks

I'm so sorry to hear this, sounds incredibly frustrating :(
I'm new to pluckers, but I know it's a hard habit to break. He's such a good boy, and I have lots of patience :-) Hopefully he'll get there some day.

Happy birthday to Jasper by the way!

So far so good

Go, Lincoln!!! We're all pulling for him, cheering for each new feather that sprouts.

I second the YAY!

Thank you all so much for all the support ;v; I'm really nervous, I leave for a 2 week trip on Saturday and I am super nervous. Family will be taking good care of him and as we speak I am making tons of highly shreddable toys so I hope the feathers stay intact x.x

Some of the shredders. I think I went a bit overboard with the cupcake wrappers xD

Sweet selection of shreddables! Jolly and Maya are looking to raid Lincoln's toy bin!

I can understand why you feel so nervous. A 2 week trip can make any parront nervous about how their bird will fare... but I imagine that's increased three-fold for the parront of a plucker who is making progress. But on the bright side, he'll be with family. So at least you know he'll be getting the very best care and attention. And you've also done all that you could to prepare him for the time that you are gone. So make sure to enjoy your trip. We'll all be hoping with you that all goes well and he continues to pack on the plumage.

I just got home from my trip and Lincoln is doing fantastic. We had a small hiccup while I was gone where he wasn't really eating his chop but eating everything else so had my dad run some of it through a dehydrator and he starting eating it more.
His feathers are all intact and even has more growing on his right side wing where he had no pin feathers before.

Wow that's awesome! Go Lincoln!!!

Yesssssssss! This is great news! We knew you could do it, Lincoln!
