Scottie Pippen (Pinapple GCC) Little Bandit (Hahns Macaw)
Pippen has started playing the sweet cuddly card before we go out in the morning. every morning first job of the day is wake the birds up and they can come out of their cage and follow us around for a while when we get ready to go to work. Pippen started to be really clingy these days, he'll sit on my shoulder, burrows himself in my neck and grabs hold really tightly, when i make him step up he just puts his head against my face and doesn't moev an inch! even when i'm changing from my pyjamas into my clothes - he stays put! he just crawls through the neckopening of my jumper as i pull it over my head...when we put him back in the cage he'll start making kissy noises and it breaks my heart to close the door behind me! :D

Do your birds do anything special to get you to stay home in the mornings?

Now that picture and your description is cuteness overload. :D They don't come any sweeter and devoted than this. LOVE IT!!

Whenever I leave the house I try and do it quietly and quickly. Not because of my birds, but because one of my dogs is under the impression that each time I go somewhere she's entitled to come with, especially if I leave through the garage. :54:

Niko, my B&G will holler "BYE BYE" whenever he sees me grab my jacket and my keys, which is a cue for above mentioned pup, lol.

I'm trying to teach him to say "See you later alligator", but I think it will be a while before he picks up on that one. :32:

hahaha seems like your bird and pup collaborate! :D
this morning was extra painfull for me - pippen is always loud when we leave, same as your pup, he usually gets to come along, but bandit is always really quiet and just has this "yea whatever, she'll be back" attitude. but this morning pip was doing his usual kissy noises and squeeking at the top of his little lungs and bandit just really quietly went "bye pip" and i felt sick to my stomach, i never realised i never say bye to her when i leave in the morning! pip just demands your every inch of attention...

Bad "Parronting" right there :(
i made sure to give her loads off attention too before i left after lunch ;)

Hahahaa I love the photo and the caption, ain't that the truth!!! Audrey just looks at me in this way when I close her cage, it makes me feel so guilty lol!

I work in my ofice three to four days a week and am on the road at least twice a week. So those days I am on the road I am up at 5AM and Cameo knows I`ll be leaving so she will hop over to my office chair and wait til I give her some attention before I leave. It is very cute. Since my wife also works at home Cameo gets some loven from Jean several times a day. If I don`t give her enough attention in the morning she will throw her food out of her cage and since I have one of those seed saver feeders this has to be a temper tantrum of hers. I have a grand daughter that acts this way at times.

Nothing specail when I leave- I leave between 515-715, so of course at 430 when I wake up Erin must wake up and stuff her face with pellets, as if she wasn't up forever late the night before eating, and then she gives me kisses and coos when I leave, and within 5 minutes she's back to sleep. but when I get home we scream back and forth (her from the second floor window and I form the street in my car) when she sees me pull up lol

Pfffft, I wish Scarlet would be sweeter in the morning. The morning is ALL ABOUT HER. All she cares about is chow time and then you better leave her alone unless you wanna get bit haha. If I wake up earlier than usual and give her an hour after chow time, she wants to come out but its usually after I come home from work that she wants lovin.

Tich and I usually have cuddles in the morning, he's so sweet and in such a good mood, like he's not seen me for ages and wants the reassurance.
He sometimes gives a few squawks when I leave the room, nothing that special. He's always pleased to see me when I get home though, he hangs upside down, squawks, bops up and down..

Yes I get 'the look' when I am leaving and often wonder what he gets up to when I am gone....lol...
But when I get back I get the 'happy dance' when he jumps on the side of his cage puffs up his head and slides up and down the bars.....
