Perjo - Female CAG hatch Nov 2015
Perjo will be three next month, I've had here since she was 15 weeks old. Today as she approaches 3yo she is quite affectionate and very confident in just flying around the house and usually to find me.

Well house proofing our young Fid isn't as difficult when they don't take unscheduled flights, but now, OMG.

One habit I've had for years is leaving dishes and silverware out on the counter top to dry after washing. Well Perjo now flies into the kitchen and lands where she pleases, that's a disaster waiting to happen right?

So now I have to reconsider how I have most of my home set up.

Ugh, but, I signed up for this right....

I have a very agile flyer, one trick I use to keep him confined in the living room is to hang a sheet between kitchen and living room, I even put up hooks overhead the frame of the archway for easier hanging of bedsheets.

It's a constant learning process, and there is always more to learn!

LOL--- it's like parents...they think they have it down and then BAM- their kid is caught making out in the Wal-Mart parking lot or stealing a soda at 7/11 LOL

Q- When do you OFFICIALLY become an experienced parrot owner?

A- When you realize that you (nor any other human) are NOT the one(s) in control of anything anymore;) ALL HAIL OUR AVIAN OVERLORDS:green: :red1: :white1: :blue2: :yellow1: :orange: :rainbow1:

How about when you realize your decision to keep a flighted bird means all your ceiling fans are now just for decoration?

When you realize the fireplace in your apartment that you were so excited about might look nice with a silk flower arrangement in it, since now it’s just a cold black hole that minimizes your furniture arrangement choices.

😂😂😂😂 you’ve got me there! Maybe you just need a tv there that the “fire channel” is always on? 😉

I unfortunately have to keep mine in working order. It has saved us more than once when the power went out.
