"Loki" turquoise GCC 1/4/15 hatch date-- "Chiqui" amazon 9/2010 hatch date---- "Banner" green parrotlet hatchdate 11/22/16

RIP "pineapple" lovebird
Need to pick one up so I can monitor chiqui's weight (she is at 505 gm now) and I want to make sure she maintains with diet change etc.
also need one for my baby GCC to make sure he is eating enough as I can't get many fresh foods into him.

I got this one at Target. I've had it a couple months now, and so far has proven to be a good one. It's actually a kitchen scale. Simple stainless steel platform. A little more than 6" across, so should be okay for a bird that size? Under $30.

I use an inexpensive kitchen scale, too. They are much more affordable and so the exact same job!

Postal scale works fine too. I got one many years ago from EBay I think, and it works just fine. I think it was less than $20.

Ok cool. I'm going to run to wal mart (don't have a target or bed bath in my town) and see if they have a kitchen scale I can pick up.

I just bought a kitchen scale… sooo much less expensive and easy to make a perch for it IMO. :)

Well where do I begin.. I got my scale from my uncle. He is now a retired Detroit Police officer.. Years ago, he was in the drug unit. Yes, mine was confiscated during a drug bust. I've had it about 20 years and it still works great. Best part was that I got it for free!!

I got a kitchen scale and just put the GCC on it. He's 70 g. :)

He's soooo small... Chiqui is 505 g. It's a bit of a huge difference lol.
