My lady Cockatiel, Maxie is about a year old. She has the run of the front room but rarely wants to go elsewhere although she will sometimes fly into the kitchen when it is safe to do so but always flies back into the front room. She only goes into her home when she is hungry or when we put her to bed for the night.
She is a happy well fed little darling and is happy to come to us, land on us and sit beside us.
However, virtually every day, normally in the afternoon, she sits in her feeding dish and 'whines' for a few minutes, after which she has a good feed, comes out of her cage and 'does her thing'
Does anyone have any idea why she whines?
