Two Lovebirds (Xayah and Rakan)
This is the type of topic where I find best to use some guidance from people on this website/community. My two lovebirds, Xayah and Rakan, are nearing 2 months and they've become quite the duo. Whenever out the cage, they fly around, sometimes very fast and to places i can't reach without the aid of a chair or something. I've had family tell me to clip their wings, and I've done research on the topic that comes out to be inconclusive. As "controversial" as a topic it may seem, some feedback on whether or not it should be done would be greatly appreciated.

If you know you can keep them safe, do not clip them! I keep 4 foot dowels around the house to get my JoJo down from the high points!

at only 2 months do not clip them. They are at a crucial point in life where they are learning how to fly and are developing important parts of their body (chest muscles and air sacks)

Outside of that I personally say clipping should only be done for safety reasons, by which I mean crashing or diving at people. Not flying to a place you don't want them or because people can't keep a window closed, much like baby-proofing there's responsibility to be taken up. If you need to use a chair to get them off the place they want to go then do so, or better yet find a way to block the area off to them

Target training them can go a long ways in teaching them to come down or fly to a specific spot without the need for clipping. :)
