Okay, we've had Winston just over 3 weeks now. I posted previously about his refusal to "step-up". This hasn't changed, except he will step up for strangers, then we can hold him. He seems comfortable with us. He'll sit on my shoulder, chatter in my ear and play with my beard. When I put him back in his cage, he will no longer have anything to do with me. If I attempt to have him step up, he backs away and tries to bite. Am I still being impatient or should I try to correct this behavior? He's a 17 year old rescue, so I guess I should expect him to bring some baggage....
