My baby is 51 days old and 1130 Grams, I feed him about 90 cc's 3 to 4 times a day. He was gaining an average of 35 grams per day but has slowed down to about 15 grams per day.

Also what to start feeding him..he's getting pretty rambuncious!

Any input?

No input from me except, I WANT HIM.

*Makes grabby hands* Mine :D

I can't help either, but oh my GOSH what a cutie pie!!!! :D Haha.

He's adorable that's all I have to say, oh and that I'm jealous

My Green Wing Macaw Neleno is very large for a GW, Most GW are around 1400 grams to 1700 grams. My Neleno the last time I had him to the Vet was 1850 grams. He is larger then some HY Macaws I have met. Your Baby is very cute, Once you have them DNA tested, you will have to let us know what is their name.
Females sometimes are smaller then the Male but not in all cases. Best of luck. Joe

At the age where they start to explore, I usually place food within and let them play with them. Pellets would be a good choice food to start! Then as he matures a bit more, you can do wet pellets for them to try, just don't leave them in there too long as they will start to go bad pretty quickly. Then you can start offering fresh fruits and veggies. He's adorable!!!! :)

I want him, too!

I have the weight record of the GW Merlin used to live with and records of him going back to 93. It looked like he weighed anywhere from 1140 (might still be a baby weight) to 1330.

Thanks, JJones!

I'm afraid at this point he could get choked (7weeks). Some people have said he could eat cheerios dry or wet...the breeder I got him from said wait a few more weeks before trying to feed him anything but formula, or maybe mix in a little peanut butter...Sounds like Neleno is big-un!

Thanks Mikey...he does a lot of just sitting around (or laying) he explores a little.

I took a wood-turning class with a guy who lives in Antioch TN. John Jordan..he has wooden bowls in the Smithsonian and other galleries. Antioch is a beautiful place.
