HELP!

Fuji is eating his wooden perches and wooden playpen and then rubbing his beak on the rough edges of the wood. I am scared he will injure himself (either his beak, face, or worse his eyes). He has plenty of toys so i don’t think it is boredom.

Any suggestions how to break this new behavior? I bought sandpaper to try and sand down the rough edges but at the rate he is going his perches and playpen are going to be toothpick thin.

sounds very normal to me. Birds will chew perches and rub their beaks on them for fun, to clean their beaks of food and to keep their beaks trim. If a perch is particularly chewed and rough then just get a new perch
