Wood perch cleaning?

How does everyone clean these, be it branches or wood dowels? I've been brushing any dried poo, then a quick rinse and brush.

I have a steam cleaner on order, but not sure it that's a good idea.

I soak mine in the tub or sink, then wipe with a cloth. O

I use a high pressure water cleaner followed by a steam cleaner. I only use natural branches as perches so I try to be a little extra careful. I'm not a fan of using chemicals to clean as it's not something that animals would come into contact with normally.

During routine cleanings, I just scrape off the "chunks" and then wipe them down with a wet cloth. When it's time for the deep, tear everything out and get out the toothbrush cleans, about once a month, I do the normal, but also spray all the perches down with F10, scrub them as clean as they will come, then spray them with F10 again and let them dry to sanitize.

**Even though original F10SC is intended as only a disinfectant, I have found it works wonders as a dried poop remover and considering the dilution ratio, is amazing cheap.**

Thanks folks. I've been using a 50/50 water-vingear mix, and taking parts into the shower. I order a steam cleaner, which should arrive tomorrow.
