Do you think it would be ok (safe wise) if I "converted" our open wardrobe into my birds new area?
Well what I mean is that in my room I have a wardrobe(inbuilt in the house). It doesn't have any doors anymore. Do you think it would be ok if I put my birds "cage" in their?
Their cage is really just their to support their branches, etc.
They are NEVER inside their cage. Food /water is on top of their cage.
The wardrobe is biggish. I have set the cage up in their to see what it would look like.
So would it be safe for them? Could it cause behavioural problems being in such a closed in space?
The reason why I have to move them is that I had to buy a new bed and it's taken up most of the space in my room. My fids aren't allowed to go in any other rooms. Mum said either my room or outside. For the way my fids live (uncaged) it wouldn't fit them living outside in a cage + it's pretty cold outside at night.
They do get sunlight so where they are isn't a dark place. It's just like anywhere else in the house (by lighting). And they do get to go outside a lot, that is on nice sunny days.
I will post pics of my fids set up in my next post. It doesn't have all their toys as I had to take everything a part. And I have placed their toys yet as I might not leave their "home" there.
