And, am not posting this from the ER!
I really haven't run in years, bicycle every couple weeks, so was very pleased with 42 minutes! Not too bad for 65!

Congratulations David! Running is my favorite way to burn calories and stay fit. You did well, keep up the good work!!

As we get older, proper shoes are critical. Invest in a good pair and remember to change them periodically, as the gel loses effectiveness.

You're giving us 'old people' a bad image. Heck, if the kids know you are doing a 5K in 42 minutes, they'll stop come by to check-up on us and you will never see the grandkids until they show-up at your funeral!

So, you can make those kind of statements here, but for god sake, don't tell the kids!!! :D

Great job David :).

I've always been into fitness as an adult, but running I do hate. Sailboat your comment LOL!

Congratulations, David! Not to bad for 65? Running for 42 minutes is extraordinary at any age! I agree with Scott, running at our age requires good running shoes or shock absorbers.

Shock absorbers? Good medical!

Wow, congratulations! I couldn't do that even if I was being chased by zombies.
