This morning I left my breakfast on the table to go answer the phone and came back to find Dexter up to his eyeballs in my cup of yogurt. I was gone maybe 45 seconds and he came down from his cage play top, ran across the room, climbed up the chair and onto the table to get it. He's never done that so quickly before, and never in food theft mode, so he must have really wanted it! He was having a ball, but I took it away from him right away because I thought dairy is not good for our feathered friends. He couldn't have really consumed very much in that short time. It was vanilla greek yogurt with no artificial sweeteners, should I be worried?

Zilla's vet actually recommends yogurt once in a while as a protein treat. I share a little bit with her on occasion.

His feathers may be a bit sticky from having his head in the cup, but he shouldn't be harmed by eating a little. :D

Yeah it will be fine :)

One of those things that will not kill him. LOL I bet he did like it.

Small amounts are actually good for them. (Small spoonful-ish.)
Larger amounts give them the runs.

He's not going to die from it.

Tusk and Maggie are my Yogurt lovers in this house.

Thanks!

Now he's busy bathing in his water dish, I guess he didn't like the sticky head LOL.

Loki gets it as a treat now and then...but I like to use the greek yogurt as it has less sugar and more protein.
