Well, I didn't take any pictures this time(I know! Shame on me.) but he's still dropping his clipped feathers and now when his wings are in resting position(at his side) you can see the blue flight feathers on his left coming in nicely. :)
He's been dropping his down feathers on a regular basis, doesn't seem to be plucking them, since he has no bald spots or anything different that I can see, so he may be re-growing feathers some time soon.
If you've read my off-topic rants, you know I haven't been able to go over in almost a week since my dad's house was plagued with the flu virus, and the last thing a pregnant lady needs is to get something nasty like the flu. So we've been steering clear, and he's been in the care of my dad's girlfriend.
As always, he was excited to see me and Brad, came out of his cage for a little while just to sit around, and of course have some pine nuts. (We keep the pine nuts with us, rather than leaving them at my dad's house so they don't give him too many. Knowing Yoshi, if he can, he'll eat them all day!!)

We also took the bottom tray and grate out of his cage and outside to clean it, since the weather was so nice. We got him to come out of his cage by stepping up on a perch, since he just sits there and stares at you like you're crazy if you offer your arm, and today we tried something a little different...
He stepped up on Brad's hand!! Not his closed fist, or his hand covered by a sleeve, his hand!! Which for Yoshi is quite a nice milestone, considering he's petrified of hands. He did it twice, then after that he would puff up and back away, so we decided not to test him and upset him and he stepped up on arms after that.

Apparently he's been loud(screaming) more often, according to my brother and his girlfriend. He said that when he's sitting at the computer with his headset on, unless there's music playing or he's talking back(replying to Yoshi's sounds) then Yoshi will scream at him at quite an unpleasant volume. I'm hoping that's just an attention thing, and since we've been gone for a few days he probably just missed being talked to, so I'm hoping that the screaming doesn't become a regular thing, especially when we move him back in with us after the delivery and the move.

Anyway.. all and all I'm very happy and proud of my big green fellow, and I can't wait until June when we (hopefully) move and then the delivery, I can stop feeling like I have a basketball under my shirt.. haha. I'll make sure to get pictures next time we're there for more than a half hour or so, though. Just a quick stop today since my dad's girlfriend still has the Flu, or is getting over it, so we just stopped in while she was out of the house, hoping for less of a chance to catch it ourselves.
