The chick is 41 days (almost a month and a half) old, and I put it in its' own cage, next to the Mom's cage. Is it still too young to be on its' own? It seemed upset with the change. Is that to be expected, or should I return it to its' Moms' cage?

Who's feeding it?

What kind of bird is it?

Tiels aren't weaned until at least 8 weeks to 12 weeks on average.

Parakeets are earlier...

Need specifics.... are you handfeeding it?
