Here are a couple pictures of Zilla's new mansion :D She watched intently as we put it together (good thing we have brains, the directions sucked!)

Right now you can tell I have it sitting in front of her old cage. She is just checking it out for now. I figured as soon as I can close my office I will put some of her favorite treats in it and see if she wants to go check it out and play on/in it this afternoon/evening.

I love it and am so so so happy I splurged on it for her, I just hope she feels the same.

:smile015: it!!!! :D

Zilla sure has a mansion there, and no doubt she will make it her own in no time.

GREAT cage!!

I think I kind of forgot how tall it was going to be! I am 5'7" and it's as tall as I am.

Maybe they just look smaller in the store, or I was just excited and wanted to get the biggest cage I could afford, who knows.

I'm also going to get some hinges (I thought it came with them, but it didn't) so I can open the top (it splits in the middle) and she can come out the top and have a perch up there. It will make it easier for her to get to the "play gym" that is going to hang from the ceiling over the cage.

Amanda, if you're ever in need of some natural dragonwood perches (they are GREAT for birdy feet), send our 'henpecked' (Richard, aka Captain) a message. ;)

I've been getting all my perches from him, and my fids love them. :D

Thanks! I'm sure I will be needing some! I was planning on buying her some new perches and toys next month.

When I'm ready I will definitely contact him.

Awesome! I love the brown color too. I bet Zilla is going to love it once she starts exploring:D

P.S. We'll need some follow up pics of the pretty girl in her new home!

So far she seems interested in it. Could be the new rope perch or the swing, but I'm hoping it's the cage!

I will get some pics of her in it in a day or two.

P.S. the color is called "Hammered Copper" and I love it too, I think she will be beautiful in it. I'm hoping it will show her beautiful green off better than some of the other colors. :green:

That's the dome top version of Iris's cage. She has the playstand top. But it's a GREAT cage. She loves it and I do too. Super easy to clean.

Zilla has a nice new home! It looks great :). I've never seen a copper color powder coated before!

I think it's a "newer" color, but it totally fits my decor and I think will set off her green better than the other colors.

She's still just "eyeballing" it from her old cage. Seems interested, but not overly excited.

Holy moly!!!! That's a monster cage!!! I almost couldn't see her current cage behind it lol

I bet she will love it no time! I'm sure she thinks she's gone to heaven!! You're such a good mommy to her!! [emoji4]

Btw- if you need any rope perches/boings or apple wood perches let me know :) (I make them in my free time as a hobby.)

Amanda, what a fantastic cage. That's the first time I've seen the copper color too, I love it.
Zilla is going to be so happy in her new mansion.

I put her in the new cage about 4pm yesterday, but left the doors to both cages open and facing each other about 6 inches apart. She immediately climbed right out and back into the new cage! I waited about 10 minutes and put her back in the new cage and she immediately went right back to the old cage.

I then waited until I was ready to eat and put her in the new cage again. When I came out of the kitchen she was on top of the new cage! The dome top was a bit hard for her to navigate (being used to a flat top cage).

She came down to the edge to beg for something from my plate and got really mad when she dropped her yellow squash on the way back up to the top! She came back down and got an orange bell pepper and dropped it on the way back up, so I took pitty on her and stood up to give her pieces. She stayed on top of it until about 8pm when she decided to put herself to bed in the old cage.

This morning breakfast was served in the new cage and she has been exploring and eating. The swing is hard for her to navigate (I'm not sure she has ever had one before) but she hangs on the side of the cage to chew on it for now.

I think she will be happy once she gets used to it and I get more toys in it.

Amanda miss jerseywendy is sending you to the right place for sure. I have gotten a perch from him as well. Sammy loves it. I really need to get a couple more. He was on dowel rods in his cage when I got him. Hated it. This is the place to be for advice and support.

I love The cage. Sammy's house is about like that but maybe a lil smaller.
