Zupreem changed formula

So the last bag I bought I noticed it, I called them and they sent me a new one. Apparently because of Customer demands (She Said) they went to a natural flavor. I bet the customers would have wanted to made aware that thier parrots base diet would be changed. In any event the one they sent was way off, full of that flavoring/dyed very dark in comparison. My conure wont eat it and since has been gobbling up anything else thats there which is not good. Im not sure if someone else posted anything about it, I briefly checked.

Just a heads up so your parrots do not have to go through anything. I am currently looking for a new brand starting with this sites archives to find a new base diet. Anyone have any suggestions on the latest and greatest?

Which Zupreem formulas are affected? I did notice that my last bag of fruit blend was sized differently than previously (the 'tiel size) and the 'tiel doesn't seem as excited by it as previously.

I usually buy the medium size; sometimes I'll get extra-large (fruitblend).The medium-size is all I can testify to have been changed.
I noticed that on the package it said natural and artificial flavors, or something like that. Now it says all natural flavors and it does not say made in the usa. Also the bananas were a very different shape, they said they were trying to fix them. I don't know about anyone else but my parrot never ate the bananas anyway, but the texture of the food is so different that it does not crack when she bites it and the taste must just be horrible if the smell is at all a representation of it. Three batches all very different just makes me very uncomfortable. I don't want anyone going willy-nilly about such an important thing, if they needed to change something they should've figured the formula out before bringing it into production.

I see they only ended up recalling the medium large and large sizes when actually the medium was also affected as I posted when I received it. I simply do not trust this company anymore.


The bag I have has the use by November 30, 2013 but is of a different size. You know it was made of the same stuff though. The cards they sent me says symptoms could include death Yet they did not recall the whole line. if you have some of this stuff in a different size With the date 11/30/13, or even 9/30/13 I would toss or try to return them.
I have both dates and both are not right.
