I bought 3 stuffed toys, a beautiful big parrot, a mouse and a smily. I hang the smily and the parrot inside my female parrot's cage and placed the mouse on the roof of my male parrot cage. My male was so excited. I saw he was on the mission to pull the mouse's eyes out. And after 1 hour, the mouse was blind from both eyes. Some polyester came out from his eyes too. And now, my parrot is keep on taking polyester out from his eyes.

So, I was thinking if it is safe for him to take the polyester out with his beak. Should I remove this stuffed mouse from his cage?

Since I separated my parrots, the female was a little bit angry and frustrated. But she was also very excited and happy to see these stuffed toys. she is also trying to pull his eyes out as well. But till now, she is unable to pull them. may be it is beacause she has rather small beak than my male parrot.
I saw at night, her head was onto the toy parrot when she was sleeping(she used to put her head down on my arm or on my bed or on my fluffy blanket etc. But only when she is very relaxed).

So should I remove this as well or not? She is so comfortable with this.

Note: I used to give them wooden toys. Because they loves to chew them. About a year ago, I gave them stuffed toys. But they didn't do what they are doing now.

I don't recommend giving stuffed toys, both the eyes and the stuffing are choking hazards for sure. There are safe-ish fabrics like felt or fleece but those carry ingestion hazards and toe-catching hazards too, but you can find something and stuff it with paper crinkles or shredded newspaper.

Just also be careful that these things can trigger hormonal and nesting behaviors especially in females.

I have 2 stuffed animals hanging from the transit chain going from saltys cage to his boing. They are small, like 4" long and are human baby toys actually. Eyes are patches sewn on , double seams, I think they are OK, Salty likes to bite them, not chew them
They are teething toys for human babies, and I cant imagine they would be toxic.

Salty is a beautiful parrot. I have seen Amazon parrots in parrot shop. They don't have such large beaks like the Alexandrines have.
The toys are also human toys. The mouse is made of fur. But I don't know about the material of the other two.

What if I only remove the mouse? Because my male parrot has more big and strong beak than my female. And I beleive he can even chew the stem of a tree. Rather I should give him smiley. Because they both don't like it.

And my female is not able to pull the toy parrot eyes out. And also cannot take the polyester out from anywhere.

But I am still confused as Aquila said

Rio loves stuffed animals but I avoid as he chews like its his only mission in life.My friend gave me a small stuffed kangaroo she got as a souvenir from Australia .....I really don't know how he got to it (fully flighted)......but if I showed you how it looks like now you would cry your heart out.....

I stick to gauva branches of different diameters and Mc Donald's happy meal toys

I would assume if you were able to get hold of some toy patterns and made some toys from cotton fabrics and stuff with old tights for example that this would be OK?
