I'm so thrilled with this girl! She blossoms more daily.
I was talking to someone recently who was involved with Jojo's intake into rescue and she mentioned that Jojo had been accustomed to a harness at one point, and had been a go-everywhere, flight-trained shoulder bird with her first owner (who willed her to the second whom she also outlived).
With that info, I ordered an Aviator Harness and began introducing it. She didn't seem upset about the idea as I draped it over her back, petted her with it, etc., so today I put it on her for the first time- and immediately stepped into the backyard. She seems a little insecure but not really frightened. We'll continue with baby steps.
I'm excited to see her accepting the harness so well... our first rv camping trip of the season is just a few weeks away and this will make it much safer.
