Warm feet

Looks like the change of seasons is starting to kick in for the humpy bfa that has adopted us.

Is it just a coincidence that her feet feel warmer?

Re: Warm feet

Does an Amazons body temperature increase when they are hormonal?

Re: Warm feet

Amazon's as with all Parrots use their legs and claws to adjust body temperature. You will note that your Amazon lifts a foot and lowers their body around their perched leg when the home is cooler and stand high on both claws while slightly setting their wings away from their body when they are warm.

Regarding chemical (Hormonal) influx driving body temperature, commonly No.
Now, when an Amazon has a Hormonal outburst, body temperature will increase during that event. As they spin back down, you will note that their body temperature follows along.
