I am sure I asked this question last year, but is anybody else's Amazon effected by the "fall back" time change. My Sam gets so out of sorts for at least two weeks :green:

It doesn't seem to effect Amy at all. It was kind of amusing with Smokey. She knew exactly what time it was for bed. At 10pm that's when she and Amy went to bed,and anywhere from 9:45 to 10:05 she would yell out "Good Night..Good Night" EVERY night! If I dawdled she'd yell it out even louder. When it came to changing the clocks either way she still knew when 10pm was  Do they have an internal clock? Never could figure that out.

None. My wife has one too many. Kidding!
I hear the Missus gripe about this every time, for our sake, not the bird's. He's on a natural light schedule so he goes to his boudoir slumber at sunrise and sunset. Oh how I love the wee light hours of winter when his Royal Parrotness conks out so early and arises so late!

Gracie, our Blue Fronted Amazon.
Gracie seems to be unaffected, but I do not know her well enough to say that with full confidence. I need to figure out how she can get the required amount of sleep with 3 kids in the house who are not quiet 12 hours straight and keep her warm enough.

It sure effects me because of the Twins.
I would normally feed them just a little past sun rise. Now that sun rise is a little earlier They start demanding food (loudly) because the amount of light indicates it's time for breakfast.

Zero effect here but I think that is because of our lifestyle. No way to rationally explain to the farm critters why are goofy government can’t come up to speed with the modern world and stop messing with time settings. Pick a darn setting and stick to it. Anyhow, as we also work from home we also have the luxury of allowing the sun (and not now useless government traditions) guide us. Otherwise it would be SassyByrd writing this expressing her dismay at how cranky mom gets with every time change!

I agree! Quit changing the time! I'm cranky. But like others my birds are on a natural light up at dawn down at sunset.
Florida voted to stop this I'm not sure why we haven't.......

Washington also decided to stop it, but they did it backwards. Our law is that we stay on daylight savings time forever. Can’t do that without federal approval apparently. States are allowed to stay standard time forever but I don’t know, too simple maybe?
