I have 2 conures... A Yellow-Sided GCC and a Fiery-Shoulder Conure. Recently we brought home 2 more babies (Budgies). For now they are in quarantine. My question is, Once quarantine is over is it ok for both the Conures and the Budgies to have out of cage time together? I have 2 Big Cages. One for the Conures and one for the Budgies. I also have a play stand and a tree perch that are for out of cage time. I usually keep the cage door open for the conures to come and go as they please. At this time the Budgies are not tame enough for that but they are learning fast. Once they are tame I would like to know if it is ok to leave their cage door open as well.

Thanks for any info....

It would depend on how your conures feel about the budgies. If a budgie should land on the conure cage, and a conure is territorial about the cage, that budgie better fly off quickly or else you can imagine what would happen! Even though the GCC and Firey Shoulder are small conure species, they're so much larger than a budgie and can kill one easily.

I have decided that it is not a good idea. The last thing I want is to loose one of our babies or have one severely injured!
