Looks like he was just letting you know he didn't want to go home. Probably a bit crabby because he was tired. Kiwi does that sometimes too.

He always doesn't wanna go to sleep in his cage :/ his previous owner kept him up til 1am, and I'm trying to make him sleep earlier and earlier every night
But yes, I get nipped almost every time but that night was the worst lol that's why I thought something was wrong :)
I think he is just more tired on weekends, long days where I let him out all day.. Last night he was fine when I got home after work, active and friendly

Now just waiting for the DNA test to see if he/she is Melon or Melonie lol

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
1AM is well past his bedtime! He's very cute in the video and seems to be a bit defiant and standing his/her ground, but appears very trainable.

In the evenings when we have most of the lights off downstairs, I've noticed that my Chattering will nip me if I try to take her with me downstairs. The first nip is very light, and if I keep going downstairs, the next nip is a bit more pressure.

So yes, I think your Melon is trying to tell you something. ;)

yeah, never heard anyone keeping birds awake after 9am :/
he was standing his ground, but he kept his foot on my hand, which was so cute LOL

his behavior is getting worse.. his nips or bites are getting harder and harder.. no blood yet, but I can feel the pain now ><
my friend's cockatiel is anti-social lately too. is it something to do with weather change? we live in Nor Cal, and it is getting cold now.. it rains a bit this week too.
