September 15th 2010 I lost Harley when my home caught on fire while we were away doing a wildlife rescue. I received a call from my next door neighbor who told me my house was burning and ask where my babies were. The neighbor was able to break my back door and get in and save my dogs but the family room was engulfed in thick black smoke and flames making him unable to rescue my sweet Harley. Harley was a Vosmaeri / Solomon Island Eclectus cross that had only begun taling at almost one year old. He was aying hello/ by bye. Pretty bird, Hi Harley, Ouch, he growled at the dogs and he had most recently said momma. He died from smoke inhalation. He was such a sweet boy and was so good. I miss him so much and don't know how to be without him.
