I am so sorry for your loss, I would never suspect anything so toxic would be allowed in human-grade food either, so plze do not blame yourself in any way. It really is a tragedy.

Do not throw anything out of a window plze, now some other animal may fall victim as well, just chuck that stuff in the trash!

Re: Please be careful!

Iím so sorry for your horrible tragedy. May I ask, did the vet do a necropsy, or just draw conclusions based on events surrounding your babyís death?

Re: Please be careful!

As other have said, it wasn't your fault---it could have been any of us. I am so very sorry though. I hope that in time, your heart heals a little

Re: Please be careful!

He asked if I was ok with it but I really didn't want that plus the remains of the almond she was chewing were sufficient for me and vet to draw the conclusion plus I described how she died and I can tell you it was something that I've never seen before and it wasn't like choking either, she died so fast that I just couldn't believe she's gone forever.
She held my finger and pushed her toenails so hard against my skin, I could see an enormous pain in her eyes, had her beak open, leaned towards me and fluttered as hard as she could and suddenly dropped. she only took a very small bite which then immediately this happened.
