Re: Fly free Cora

Grace, I’m so very sorry you had to say goodbye to your Cora far too soon. My heart is breaking for you and for Cora. Please don’t dwell on the accident but instead let the memories Cora left you with comfort and console you. Everyone is right, we all live with parrots and we all have those chaotic moments that everyday life is full of. Hugs to you, my thoughts are with you.

Fly Free Little One. You will be forever missed.

Re: Fly free Cora

Grace, I am so very sorry for your loss. Please try not to beat yourself up over this. I know the grief is overwhelming right now, but in time try to shift your focus from the tragedy of her passing to the love and joy Cora brought to you in life.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: Fly free Cora

Oh Grace, I just went through this a few months ago with Bowie, and I got so lucky, but I did the exact same thing that you did. He follows me everywhere, right into the bathroom, and I thought he had flown back out when I turned out the light and shut the door...he hadn't. So this is something that every single one of us has done, or has almost done or could have done...

Take all the time you need to take, but please don't think that you don't deserve to be a Parront, because your fids are extremely lucky to have you.

Re: Fly free Cora

Sorry for your lost accidents happen, she in a good place.

My cockatiels tend to not fly back in room all the time at night, or escape cage all the time and one was in the bathroom all night as he escape cage and didn't realize it, when I was a sleep, so now double check and close bird room door before going to sleep.
