I just laid an egg and I can't doo anything about it...

I just caught this this morning and could not resist snapping a picture.
Her stance looks very different from normal. She just laid her 3rd egg.

Awww... I imagine it's probably painful and not at all fun for them either. Extra calcium rich treats and scritches to her. So do you have chicks on the way or is she just laying unfertilized eggs?

This is her 2nd clutch of fertile egg's. There is some stuff for hens producing eggs that I give here. It's mixed in with her chop every day + Kale, I understand it is high in calcium.

1st egg has hatched

The first egg has hatched this evening.
I am at work, my wife called to tell me the good news so no pictures yet.
Looking forwarded to 3 more chicks.
We have a total of 5 eggs but one of them has a dent in it, don't expect it to hatch.

I left it in the nest to prevent my girl Sunny from replacing it.

This is her 2nd clutch so I may be looking for good homes once they are weaned.
