hi all new to the site...

so i got a pair of ringnecks that had 3 chicks this season they hatched

14/9
15/9
17/9

sadly i had to intervene 7 days in because im guessing something spooked the mother out of the box one night and she would return so we pulled them as it was a cold night 1 had already passed away by the time we noticed her out of the box.

the 2 that are still living are now 21 days give or take as i dont know which one we lost.

my question is.. is it normal for the chicks to behind in growth.. ive looked around and from other "progress day charts" that ive found our babys seem to be a week behind in growth... they are now only just showing signs of their color and pin feathers coming and their eyes only opened about 5 days ago. where most of what i have found are as early as 8-9 days for the eyes

both chicks weight 30-37grams they both are on 5-7cc feeds
times: 6am 10am 2pm 6pm 10pm nothing over night

they are currently on Whistler Hand Rearing formula

for brooding we have them setup in a wood box with a purple heat lamp keeping them between 85-93f - 29-33c have been keeping it around this because i noticed no pin feathers yet just a slight color starting to show didnt want them cold.

feeding and walking around normal pooping seems normal. eyes open etc

any advice would be greatful

ps. first time dealing with ringneck chicks as only done cockatiels in the past

Just a bump to get this thread back on active topics so one of our hand feeding experts can chime in.
