My 2 budgies tail bob. I read that this means that it is sick ? I took my Budgies for a check up and the vet said they were okay ( she is a specialist in avian medicine ) she checked vent, eyes, feathers, everything. I don't think she missed a disease sign as she was reccomended by breeders and I read her reviews. She only does birds and has a special examining room for them . I don't think they are sick. Can they be another explanation ?

There may be slight tail bobbing, especially if the bird just had some amount of exercised that caused them to breath in heavier.

How are their droppings? Did she do a gram stain on them?

The tail bobbing your worried about, is when they're puffed up(sick looking) and straining to breathe to the point that their tail "bobbs" with each breath.

She didn't do a gram stain but she checked their droppings in the carrier. I don't know if this makes a difference but I just moved them to a pellet diet a month ago and they were on a seed and millet for they're whole lives

I don't know, our video camera is down and we might have to get a new one. I also read that it could be from over weightness ?

My first bird was a parakeet named Buddy (passed away November 8, 2012). My newest friend is a parakeet named Chipper.
I think a tiny bit of tail bobbing is normal. Chipper does the same thing, but I just had him checked by an avian vet and he's okay. In fact, he's finally starting to get a little bit more active. He's chirping more. :)

His droppings are normal, and his weight is good (34.9 grams). So a tiny bit of tail bobbing may not be a problem.

Just watch out for any other symptoms like sneezing or watery droppings.

A gram stain would tell you whether or not there is an infection in the intestinal tract... without that, a bird can appear healthy but still be sick...

Sometimes, a throat swab is required to check for infections in the upper region that may be missed in the gram stains.
