I just purchased a Lixit bird bath at my local pet store since my Kaila hates it when I try to mist her. I decided to try out the bath since I've seen her try to get in the rectangular, way too small for her big butt, water bowl
And it worked!!! Not even an hour after I put it in the cage see was shaking her butt in the bowl and splashing around (much to the despair of her cage buddy Oz who hates it when I put something new in the cage) so it got me wondering... Should I put the bath available all day, everyday with fresh water or is there such a thing as overbathing? Should I just put it there a few times a week? Would it be better if I got one of those dome shapped ones that don't take cage space and can be attached to nest door since I now know she enjoys bathing?
Anyway, this is what her new bath looks like:
And this is the one that I have questions about (does it seem better than the one above):
