looking for toy holder

I have an Avian Adventures playtop cage for my Goffin...here is a link to a picture example: Mediana Playtop Bird Cage by Avian Adventures - Everything for Birds

The long hooks on top are nice to hang a toy from but they are tall enough that my Goffin can climb to the top, reach up, then he tries to eat the ceiling. He succeeded once and from then on I realized that was his game so since those long hooks are removable, he doesn't get to have them up anymore. So now there is no other spot for toys to hang and he spends most of his time on top of his cage. I would like to find something that I can connect to my cage that will hold toys at a lower level, (here is an example of what would be ideal Pet Bird Cages: EZ Care Bow Front Cages at Drs. Foster & Smith) Does anyone have any ideas or know where you can get spare removable parts or something? Thanks!

My parents made me a play perch and I wanted to attach a hook somehow too for toys. I searched around for something and finally figured out to use a "plant prop". (68cents at lowes). Hubby drilled a hole into the top of the perch, and put the prop in. Maybe you could somehow attach one? You could cut it as short as you need.

I am looking for something similar as well. RioMom, that's actually a really good idea, I assume the paint is safe, no clue what those are made out of

How would you know if the paint is safe or not? I like the idea and I think since there are holes for the hooks to go into, the "plant prop" could just be shoved in there. You know I'm thinking I could even take an easily bendable wire and wrap it really good with sisal rope or hemp or something and bend it in an arch over the perch on the play top and weave loops in it for toys to hang. good/bad?:20:

It's made out of some kind of metal, River doesn't bother with the paint part of it, but I just pulled it out to look at it, and you could actually make a cut and peel the paint off before you used it. I searched from store to store with just a picture "in my head" of a "metal stick with a loop", not really knowing what I was looking for, when I happened upon the plant props. River loves to shimmy up the prop and stand on top surveying his kingdom lol.
