I've been trying to get everything I'll need before I can bring my new baby home. My husband and I are getting either a tiel or a quaker.
I've found several cages on Amazon. My bird is not going to be in it much only when I run errands or at night otherwise he can be out an about with me around the house im also looking for a good playstand to use any recommendations on those would be great.

I have that exact cage for my eclectus as a temporary housing cage We keep at my moms when we visit. It's a nice cage and should be find for a Quaker or cockatiel.

That looks like a nice cage. Im sure your future bird will like it. It also looks easily accessable which is good for you!

I would recommend that you target a cage that has a full height door on it. Not for the parrot, but for the lucky human that gets to clear the cage or arrange the interior. You will enjoy the additional room it will give your body for getting into an inside corner.

The cage will come with dowels for perches. Once home, start looking for natural branch perches. They will be far more comfortable on your parrot's pads. Always better to over size than to under size.

Bigger cages allow room for more toys, especially hanging toys. Look to develop a private / safe place in one of the upper cage corners for your parrot to get away from everything and sleep or if needed, hide.

We use a traveling stand that is a two piece unit, a stand and the play stand that is placed on top of the stand. Great for travel or an easy to move stand/play stand around the house. We use the separate play stand to place on the floor, coffee table, kitchen table or of the stand section, which many times will find itself next to the office desk. Lots of flexibility!

Choose the parrot that chooses you! A parrot that wants to be with you is just a whole lot better place to start from.

Our only issue is no local breeders. So it's hard to go spend time with either breed although I found some hand fed Quakers a couple hours away a it looks like a road trip in my near future they won't be ready for 3 weeks a that time to finish getting the house "bird ready/proof."
