Luna- GCC, Stella- Caique
I just welcomed a White Bellied Caique into my home today!! :D She was hatched in January and I named her Stella. She's a sexed female. Any tips on how to introduce my GCC and her? Thanks everyone!

PS. I named her to match my GCC Luna. I now have my moon and my star. :)

Lucky, I wanted a caique but they are so expensive! I would put their cages in the same room, after a vet check and quarantine, and slowly move the cages closer together. Once they show interest in palying together then you can let them out at the same time, with supervision of cource. Another option would be to take them both into a room that neither of them call home so it would be nuetral ground.
Either way you go, good luck!

I introduced my BHC and Jenday in a neutral space after them starting off in the same room together for about a week (after quar.). In fact, the pics of them on my profile is of that very day. Slow and steady is a must as Caiques have been known to "bully" other bird species. I think one of the things that helped my two is my BHC was housed with a WBC previously and my Jenday had a 'tiel friend for the first 10yrs of his life so they were used to other birds. Just keep a watchful eye and dont let any roughhousing get out of hand. Good luck!:D

Like it was mentioned above already, you must quarantine FIRST before trying to introduce them. Neutral space is perfect as no one claim any territory. Just keep an watchful eye so they don't lash out at one another.
