I have heavy duty, large floor mats under my cage and tree. They work well for protecting overly rambunctious droppings, but they’re a bit difficult to clean some times. Does anyone use something similar to this that they could throw in the washer and make maintenance a little easier?

Eh I use plastic 'desk chair mats' from Office depot.
I throw em outside periodically and spray em down with the hose and then let them dry before I bring em back in xD

I also use large office mats. The clear smooth ones. I can easily wipe them clean or use a steam cleaner when needed. I carry them outside once a month for a big spray down. I got mine from Amazon. The one under the cages is 6 foot long. I have two under the play tree area also.

None. My wife has one too many. Kidding!
I recently got the missus big brown tarps, one for the cage and each perch (disappears a bit on the wooden floors). She squirts them and cleans daily. Of course the monster is flighted and leaves his presents in other places. When needed, she persuades me to drag the tarps outside to hose off. The things we do for love, right? A long time ago, I do recall that she used cheap sheets, tossed them in the wash every other day or so.................. the problem as I recall was that stuff got stuck on them even after shaking outside (which I did!) other than poo, which washed away easily and the other stuff messed up the lint-trap. Now she just uses papers and then the tarps on the surrounding floor.

We actually use pieces of sheet vinyl. Remnants from large rolls are sold for pennies, and we've even found pieces large enough to go under macaw cages and giant macaw play gyms. If it's a heavy item and a carpeted room, we use some spare ceramic tiles to distribute the weight and keep the vinyl from buckling.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I use two different types of painters plastic sheeting for floor protection. Readily available from big-box hardware stores.

Thin 2mil sheeting is used below flight cages in the garage. They are suspended about 3 feet from the floor with legs. Sheeting is ideal width and is cut to length and taped to floor. Thinness is acceptable as nobody walks below the cages.

The primary bird room tile floor is protected with thicker 4 mil sheeting. A base layer covers the entire room, with an additional layer below cages, playstand, and high traffic areas. Floor is swept daily and the secondary layer changed every 5 days or so. Primary layer changed about every month and floor is washed. This is a *lot* of work, but gives them absolute freedom to remain uncaged and fly as desired.

The 4 mil sheeting has an odor when unrolled, and is hung in sections from the second story deck for 48 hours to out-gas. No trace of odor remains when placed in the room.

At walmart I found these fleece blankets that are like 3'x5' for like 3-4 bucks a piece, I use them in um....High bird traffic areas. Easily cleanable just throw em in the wash and drier, put them back.

By the way, this is what I was trying to describe previously (the cage isn't completely put back together here...it's really not that bare, I promise).

Another vote for office chair protector matts. Make sure to get the one with a totally smooth side, the pebble surfaced one are a pain to clean.
