.... Beebs..he flys now,not too far,but with purpose and aim...and he does real good at it. From the counter top to the top of the fridge..his roof top to the couch or recliner...kitchen sink to the table... he's not crashing into things or tumbling out of control lol..prolly practicing before he decides he's gonna attempt a big flight thru the house lol.

Congrats!! :59:

He definitely sounds like a much safer and cautious flyer than 'Nut was when he was first learning that's for sure. It was VERY scary in the beginning what he used to do because I never seen such a horrible flyer before (crashing into everything!!) but 'Nut's flying has improved tremendously... it's night a day compared to what it used to be. Beebs will be a pro in no time :D

EDIT: has his flight feathers grown in longer now?

Jim, watch him now. Dont need to read that Beebs decided to head for warmer climate by flying out that screen door.

made a liar out of me! He was on his roof top.while I was playing with Amy,giving her loveys, feeding her pizza while she sat on my leg..she smelled like "bird" so I said lets go take a shower.
Took her into the bathroom and I hear BB calling for me and then flapflapflap...I went to look and he was on the couch...then flapflapflap again..SMACK...right into wall by the front door

I THINK he was trying to get to the lamp by the front door but over shot...sighhhh :(

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Nice to see BB learning his natural talent. Every landing he walks away from is a good one!!

I'd love to see a pic of BB.... I'm super curious if he ever grew in longer flight feathers :D

You'll be amazed how fast they improve with their flying abilities. Actually, if I recall correctly it took 'Nut a few months to get to where he's at now... but he was a "special" case if you know what I mean... he's a bit wacko (I've never seen a bird fly into things as much as he used to). Beebs will do better than him ;) I can't even remember the last time 'Nut crashed into something... it's been a looooong time thank goodness :)
