This is what 'Nut always does before bedtime :) It was about 8pm and it still wasn't dark out!

Thanks for the kind words :)

I must confess I've been cheating on the tiel section by lurking around in the conure section fantasizing about getting a GCC one day hehe ;)

.... so I didn't realize I was in the conure section when I posted this thread, opps.

You can have a GCC if I can take Nut and Gerald

purely to keep things calm for you of course

LOL ;)

At least then poor Geraldine will be called Gerald instead cuz he is a boy afterall haha. He acts a LOT more like a female bird... he's soooo quiet! He sings literally for LESS than 5 min in total throughout the entire day while 'Nut sings several minutes here and there. 'Nut loves it when I do the dishes... he walks around on the counter top singing as I clean. I love it when he sings... I wish he would sing all day!

my old tiel Cocky (very imaginative child) was like that. Very quiet. Then my mum decided to get him a friend, dubbed Flow. I hated her, she was a nasty noisy bird and bullied him. I was told she had shouted him to death. Found out 6 months ago she lied to me! When cleaning the cage whilst I was at school Cocky got loose and flew into a tree. I was told he died whilst he was actually up in the tree at the end of the garden quite happy with himself whistling away haha! There was no way we could get him down as he wasn't tame. I think that's when the cockatiel committee swore revenge on me

It could be so ;)

'Nut hates Geraldine because Geraldine doesn't like other birds at all. 'Nut is a very sweet bird and tried to be his friend in the beginning but quickly learned Geraldine should be considered an enemy because Geraldine was always nasty to 'Nut. Geraldine is on 'Nut's bad side for life. 'Nut toughened up and is definitely the dominant one now and calls all the shots.

The people in this conure section of the forum are probably wondering "Why is this crazy chick with tiels posting in the conure section and why does she have a male bird named Geraldine?... mod get her out of here!!!!". :p

Every time I see videos of Cocatiels it makes me want another one. They are so funny and cute. I miss mine.

Every time I see a video of any bird it makes me want one! Part of me hopes that the rescue Meyers I've seen is still up for adoption when I'm in a slightly better place financially and emotionally. Of course I hope he gets a home ASAP but if I'm in the right place to I'm going to inquire, he seems like a sweet bird

no not yet. Haven't been able to get through to birdline, they are very busy right now. I think it's better for me to get myself into the right position first as well before I start visitng and meeting different birds as knowing me I'll walk away with one, even with the cage up in the loft haha!

well there is another one up there but I need to take it to the dump at some point. Poop-ingrained and I'm fairly certain the paint may not be safe. It's not a safe looking cage. Was given it with the ringneck that I picked up to send to a rescue
