Her tests results are finally out and they found nothing terrible this time :) The pathologists and vet who looked at the reports gave shine a clearance. Though I'm told to keep an eye on her and get tests done periodically as she is sensitive and I shouldn't take any risk. For those who are unknown to the matter, ShineTheCockatiel is my first and only rescued bird who was found to be badly infected with a mixed infection and chlamydia. And I'm a 16 year old teenager from a country where we do lack a proper veterinary infrastructure (and ofcourse we do not have even good enough and many general veterinarians). I was no expert in avian medicine, I'm not rich, ....but thanks to everyone on this forum who helped us along... Ellen's knowledge and advises were life to her...thank you soooooooo much EllenD! And thanks to my elder sister who gave me a little part of her savings (Lol....because parents are unknown to the expenses done for shine...be it the food/toys or her vet bills)
In my country, pet birds don't really live a life with dignity and love...but my birdie will- and I'm very optimistic about it :)
Once again, thank you Ellen and every forum member for being a part of her journey, she's still alive..... and more happy :)

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Thank you for a wonderful update! Always pleasing to hear success stories, and Shine's is a tale of love and perseverance.

Change begins with one person, and you are a shining example of goodness. May you become a respected example for the good of animals in your nation!

I am so glad things are going well! I am also very happy to hear that you have an amazing sister (sometimes, it is just best if parents don't know lol).

Yippie!!! You really put in the work taking care of her!!!! She was so sick. You really should be pretty proud of saving her life!!! You over came so many obstacles! You are a great person. I know you will go on to accomplish many more great things, with determination like yours!!! Just so happy to read Shine is well.

I'm so glad that Shine is doing well and finally got a clean bill-of-health...I gotta tell you, I had NO IDEA YOU WERE ONLY 16!!!! Damn son, you did good! Good for you, you're really an example for anyone and everyone on this forum, including myself, of what a dedicated and responsible parrot-owner is, and pet-owner in-general...A lot of adults who willingly and purposely buy/bring-home pets and who have both the financial resources and access to the best veterinary care in the world a short-drive away don't even bother to take their animals for help when they're sick...So you're definitely setting an example for every pet-owner that there really are no excuses for not getting your pets the medical care that they need...

I'm so glad Shine is doing well, that was a lot for anyone to take-on, especially on their own with not much veterinary help at all...Good job brother!!!!
