hi everyone, i thought i would share this experience with all you too lovers ;) a flock of red tailed black cockatoos (about 9-12 of them) flew into my backyard they landed on the gum tree and starting tearing of bark. I have no idea why they were doing it. something scared them, and they flew off :(
i didnt get any photo's cause only lasted about 30 seconds. This was the first time seeing a wild black cockatoo!!!!

we have a australian grey owl (wild) living in our willow tree, and ever since that came we havnt been seeing much wild birds, so i guess that scared them off.

That must of been amazing watching them in your backyard!

I have ever seen a pair of red tailed black cockatoos flew past my house, and never have seen anymore other than the ones in the pet store! Lol :D

But I get a lot of sulfur crested cockatoo and galahs here around my house, and a lot of the time, they like to hang around in my backyard as I take Ozzie out in his harness! And sometimes a few will come down to say hi :)

I know this is a bit off topic but, here is a photo I took a little while ago of a flock of sulfur crested cockatoo in a pack just down the road from my house :)

You sure they aren't corellas lovemyparrots? They look like corellas to me. :)

Yeah, it was mainly sulfur crested cockatoo, but there were a flock of corellas with them. There were also a few galahs, but not sure if I got them in the photo :)

My name is Lily, so next time you can just call me Lily :)
