are they ok for the cockatoos, can't seem to find anything that says there not.
I want to use Macadamia oil to condition my U2 feet, and beak. seems the in thing on the forums for this is coconut oil which I have just started. but it is solid to start, where the other is not and would be easier to brush on his feet.

I would think the oil being solid would make it easier. That is, assuming your birdie loves a foot massage!
For humans, is is easier to control if the body heat melts it.

Dave, to be clear I don't think conditioning the beak/feet is actually much of a thing. I participated in the thread you are referring to. It's nice m my guy gets a beak full of oil when I serve coconut oil with his food, but if your bird is healthy conditioning shouldn't be an issue. I don't know many people who actively "condition beaks".

Dry feet, that might be another thing entirely.

the beak thing is to just get the color back to black and keep it that way. however i have a foot problem and he is pulling off the scales there is a post below with pics. in talking with the Aviary where he came from was told a cause is the big drop in humidity in our weather they told me in the food would be good this time of year. for the dry skin. below in the health section i found another post where someone's friend had a U2 with bad feet and that is where i got that idea.
