Hey all,

I've had Chloe since the end of June and I was wondering when I could expect new feathers to come in to see if her new home would change her plucking ways. She hasn't done any more damage than what she came with, but she is still just a fuzzy chested girl. I read in the "for the love of greys" book that I need to be bathing her way more, especially when the new feathers come in to help her out. Should I be expecting some pins soon? Thanks

I thought maybe there was a certain time of year that they did it in, or is it random?

My Grey usually goes through what I would consider a minor molt in the late spring. If I had a penny for every down feather (a.k.a dustbunny/tumbleweed/pillow feather/vacuumbuster) I would be a bazillionaire by now. I do have a fine mist pressurized bottle I spray him down with on a regular basis (twice a week usually).

And congrats on the new Grey. As much of a PIA they can be sometimes, I would'nt trade mine for anything in the world.
