5 Parrots, 8 year old Blue-fronted Amazon, 2 1/2 yr. old African Grey, 2 3/4 year old Senegal. 5 month old ekkie, 5 month old Albino parakeet. Major Mitchell Cockatoo, passed away at age 68.
My Grey has a tendency when sitting on my shoulder or arm when I'm talking to it, to stare right at me, move a little closer then place it's foot flat against my cheek or on mouth then tightly press his beak against my face while foot is there as well. Doesn't bite, just holds like that for a few seconds then just looks up at me and mutters something quietly, which I haven't made out yet.

My wife says " that bird really adores you"......

My Senegal does the same thing, places foot flay against my face and
presses beak against my neck. Never biting...

Yep. Sounds like the wife is right. Sounds like an attention thing.
