Well yesterday was the first day that Bucc has decided to come out of his cage properly with Kito, out and about before he would sit just inside the cage and watch everything. Well there were a few hairy moments, but all in all it went okay, they are both trying to show the other that they are head of the flock, once they work that out everything should settle down nicely. At least we haven't had one of them trying to do bodily harm to the other.

You'll have to excuse the state of the decor, I'm now starting to do the painting.

The stand off

(both refusing to look at the other)

Just a little closer, wonder if he'll notice

Maybe I can have a go if I just get in a little closer

They would sit there for a while then take off round the room, in the end both of them were tired out and slept really well for the rest of the night. :D

Chaos is the right word for it, I take my life in my hands just walking through the room, with both of them flying round now, its crazy. Hey I wouldn't have it any other way. When all the little ones come out its a mad house too. Each one of them going off in different directions,

Thanks guys, I am glad that they have decided to become friends, I thought Bucc was gonna sit in his cage everytime Kito came out, I think just leaving him til he was ready has sure helped him. And he is realising that its fun having someone to fly around with. :D

It's pretty easy if you look at the white area around their eyes ... Bucc is blue around his eyes and the white is more bright white. Kito has more blue/grey in that white area ...BUCC'S tail is completely red, Kito's tail is red with black still in it ... VERY BOTTOM PICTURE ... Bucc is on the left, kito is on the right.

Yep it really is easy to tell them apart, but I guess it helps to know what your looking for. :D The eyes is another great way of telling the difference, Kito's eyes are still dark and Buccs have that yellow/green look. (I know its not that obvious in these pics) I'll get some where you can see the eyes. :D

Bucc can say a lot of words, and sentances, at the moment he lets me know when his treat bowl (full of them nasty very unhealthy pellets, only way he will eat them, :D ) is empty, He will stand there and say "All gone now Mum" then its "Can Bucc have more"

Kito well he can almost say Hello, and yes I know he's only 18 weeks old and they don't usually say anything till maybe a year, but honestly he can, its not very clear but I can tell what it is. I never mentioned anything of that to any of the family, (I thought I was going slightly crazy) but yesterday he said it in front of Andi who mentioned it. I guess he's copying a lot from Bucc. He has also got the telephone ring, and the same song Gemini sings when he wants us to say night night to him.

Some of Buccs words are

Ok
Love ya,
Bucc come out
night night
bye bye
all right (only its said awwww righ, a bit like the london slang)
Wasssssuuuuuup (whats up)
can bucc have peanut
give us a kiss
silly birdie
wheres them kids/dogs
watcha doin'
Shhhhhhhhhhhh sleeping

Thats just some of the things he will say, but there are many more, he's a real chatter box.

Buccs eyes, notice the white n blue round the eyes, and the colour of the eyes.

bucc_eyes.jpg

Now take a look at Kito's eye colour and the white is more a grey/flesh colour, its more grey looking
kito_eyes.jpg

I'll see if I can find any of the tails, there is a very big difference at the moment. As Kito gets older so he will look just like Bucc.

Peta it looks like Kito is a bit smaller too ... is there a size difference or is that just the perspective of the camera playing tricks on us?
