Alright, anything special I should do in preparation for tonight? I have a bunch of five hundred gram fireworks I'm going to be setting off tonight. Hiccup will be inside, it'll be after her bedtime, but I worry she might be scared if she starts hearing the explosions. I really like our Independence day, I just don't want a scared bird

i cant believe that no one replied to this.. it might be too late but next year, I would keep things in the house LOUD! play some loud dubstep all day lol.. and dont cover her cage..maybe bring her to a window where she can watch.. who knows, she might even enjoy it. make sure that the noise isnt sudden i.e. keeping loud noises around all day, and make sure she can see whats going on.

I was too, thanks for the advice. I went about her normal routine, though it was loud all day, but she didn't even seem to notice the fireworks, if anything she seemed more annoyed with how late I came to bed, she made sure to remedy it by waking up at six this morning and waking me up as well ^_^'

Guava didn't seem to notice the fireworks, either, lol. Hope you all had a happy 4th!

We survived here, although I was a bit worried since this is my first 4th with birds. The birds did fine, it is my dogs I always worry about. But our Cairn terrier actually LOVES fireworks, he wants to play with them and chase them but the other dogs are hiding and cowering, takes days to recover.
