Lola & Mimi [pic heavy!]

Thought I'd share some more pics of my two conures, Lola the Sun Conure and Mimi the Nanday Conure!

Thank you! I can't wait for Lola to colour up some more, she just turned 1 - Hoping she gets some more yellow soon.

They are GREAT friends! They're like sisters. Lola is always looking after and looking out for Mimi like a good big sister.

They are still very interactive with me, it's great. I'm very lucky to have such a great bond with them and they still remain strongly bonded to each other. Mimi is a snuggle bug and wants to be with me all the time, loves cuddles and scritches - she's like a tiny, feathery puppy! Lola loves to just be with you, she's never been very "touchy", even before we got Mimi. She loves a small scritch under the wings but that's it! She LOVES to just sit in your shoulder and just be with you, though. She really loves to groom ears and eyebrows! They're such a great pair, they're as bonded to me as any single bird would be but also love each other, it's such a great relationship. I often think how lucky I was to have it work out this way.

They are just precious. You are lucky they interact with you and with each other. That is wonderful.

I know, I am SO thankful they get along like they do and still love me, I really am so lucky!

I wanted a nanday from the beginning, but they are quite hard to find in Australia, so I went my second favourite, a sun. A few months later a breeder contacted me with a available nanday baby. She melted my heart instantly and I bought her home. I wasn't buying her as a friend for Lola or anything, so it was just so perfect that they did get along so beautifully, but still remained bonded to me. I couldn't ask for better birdies!

They are good birdies. <3
