11/4/13 my poor peanut passed away suddenly in her sleep. She was only 6. She was acting her typical self up until the point we found her. Ate normal. Drank normal. Bathroom normal. Anyone have this happen to them? I am devestated :( I miss her very much!

Sun Conure

My sun conure peanut died 11/4/13 suddenly in her sleep. My husband found her and even tried to revive her :( She was only 6 years old. No signs of illness before, ate drank the same bathroom was the same. Gave kisses and behavior seemed the same. Last time i saw her was 7:45 P.M. saw her at 11:30 PM and she was dead :( Anyone have a sudden death like this? We buried her in our yard and didnt have an autopsy done :( I am devestated; she was literally my best bud!

Re: Sun Conure

Sorry for your loss.

A few years back I lost 3 birds in one day (all my big birds were fine, everything smaller than the G2 died instantly.) The kids were using a product that they didn't realize had teflon in it... they just dropped dead.

If I had to guess, it's some sort of toxic poison event... but unless there is a necropsy you will never know for sure.

It could be that Peanut had some internal problem, like a heart attack or stroke that happens very quickly and with devastating results. I'm so sorry she's gone and for the hole in your heart - hugs! Rest in Peace, little Peanut. XX

Hey I'm so sorry for your loss. It'll be okay. Your birdie is just flyin' over the Rainbow Bridge...
