So the conures had a couple of toys that were quite bland and boring, and didn't get any attention anymore. Figured I'd re purpose them into one, VERY interesting toy! (For them, anyways.)
All it cost me was a peanut butter jar lid, some jute twine, and some straws that went through a pencil sharpener. (Those are their favorites!)
The ones of Loki playing are blurry because I had to take the pictures from the bed and zoom in.. once I walked up to the stand he had to act tough, and tough boys don't play with toys. ;)

Loki playing while no one is looking..
Nomnomnom..

Gotta look tough and protect Kiwi from this strange thing the human keeps pointing at us... :p

Thank you! I actually learned it from this forum. :) If you go looking through the DIY section you'll find all sorts of awesome ideas.
Kiwi definitely had a blast. I had a couple of short pieces of straw shredded that she was playing with while I made the rest of the toy. :p

Nice idea. Cookie loves straws to chew on. I'm slightly jealous of how beautiful your bird's feathers are. :)

Aw, thank you Emily. :) It helps that they enjoy bathing daily/every other day hehe. Lots of preening for everyone after a good shower!

Looks great! The "repurposed" ones always seem to be big hits with the feathered ones. Looks like they're having a blast!
