Conure grunts and quacks (Short Video)

He's sounds so happy. Sometimes I catch him head first, both feet sticking up in the air, kicking up shredded paper. I might put shredded paper inside one of those cat tunnels and let him go wild. Do you think it might trigger nesting behavior if I let him play like this for 30 minutes to an hour each day?

Re: Quacks, Grunts and Other Happy Conure Sounds

The video is adorable, Boomer was obviously having fun. Personally, I don't see the harm in letting him play with shredded paper. If he starts acting hormonal, you can always take away the opportunity.

Aww how adorable! My little Cisco would love that! He does seem to get hormonal with paper but if it was for a short time I think it would be fine.

Actually, mine only seem to get hormonal about nests made from my flip-flops...

Quacks, Grunts and Other Happy Conure Sounds

Oh my, that is so cute! My boyfriend and I were in cahoots over how ecstatic Boomer was over all that shredded paper. His happy noises are just hilarious! Personally I don't see the harm so long as they aren't actually being hormonal. Boomer just seems like he's having a jolly old time
