I have 3 conures and their personalities are SO different. Bindi is fearless for the most part - life is a grand adventure and she’s happy to check out anything new. Baby and Tango get so much more spooky about new things and new places. Since I’m not sure what any of my conures backgrounds are, I take baby steps when introducing new things.
I took Bindi outside with us yesterday and she had an absolute blast. Bird flying by...screech at it and bounce up and down excitedly. Same thing for loud noises, cars driving past, strange people stopping by, and a helicopter flying overhead. Attached a picture of her sitting in the shade on the table.
She is probably the happiest bird I have ever met and it’s impossible not to laugh when she’s around. She was 5 years old when her people brought her to the rescue, they didn’t want to answer any questions at the rescue so they turned her loose outside and she had to be retrieved from a tree later, she spent a year or so at the rescue (surrounded by mostly cockatoos) and then I brought her home in January. It never fails to amaze me how resilient they can be!
