Cool, but I have a few concerns... The bare PVC is slick, so maybe you should put sisal rope on it for more grip. And if it was my car perch, I'd want the bird where I can see it and on the front of a second row seat. If you get into a crash, the bird will be thrown into the second row seat. But if the perch is on the second row seat, it's less dangerous because the bird is closer to the seat. Otherwise, great.
Yes I do plan on adding rope just needed to make sure the size were right first... Thanks for the input... FYI my car only has two rows front and back all my real kids are grown so just a simple impala.
I think it's a neat idea but I know two people personally who've lost birds in car accidents because they weren't in a carrier. I won't travel without Kazi in his carrier, myself. I think having the grown 50+ year old man cry over watching his beloved parrot's brains splatter on the windshield in front of his eyes made me crazy cautious about vehicle travel and birds.
I don't mean to be gross or rain on your parade, but I don't want you to suffer a tragedy needlessly either!
